Continue the slotting process; the idea is to add a .125 wide, .125 deep slot around the periphery of each plate just under .250 in from the edge, and stopping .250 short of where each cylinder will mount, following the curve of the outer edge of the plate. The diagram makes it a little more clear.

Perform the additonal slotting cuts to one side (the same side as was slotted in step #29) of each of the 24 plates.
